Terms of Service
These terms govern your organization's use of Gatehouse: the hosted service at usegatehouse.com and the Gatehouse software you may run yourself. By creating an account or using Gatehouse, you agree to them on behalf of your organization ("Customer", "you"). If you have a signed agreement with us, that agreement takes precedence.
#1. The service
Gatehouse is a gateway between AI agents and the tools and systems your organization connects to it. It checks each tool call against your policies, can hold calls for human approval, keeps credentials away from agents, and records an audit trail.
Gatehouse decides whether a call may proceed. It does not control what a connected system does once a call is allowed. You choose which systems to connect, which credentials to give Gatehouse, and which policies to apply.
#2. Accounts
You're responsible for the people you invite and the roles you give them, for keeping sign-in methods secure, and for what happens under your accounts. Tell us promptly at security@usegatehouse.com if you believe an account or credential has been compromised.
#3. Acceptable use
You won't:
- use Gatehouse to break the law or to access systems you aren't authorized to access;
- try to get around its security, policies or usage limits, or probe it for vulnerabilities outside our responsible disclosure program;
- resell the hosted service without our written agreement;
- upload malware, or use Gatehouse to send spam.
#4. Your data
You own the data you put into Gatehouse ("Customer Data"). You give us permission to host, process and transmit it only to provide and support the service, to keep it secure, and as the law requires. Our Privacy Policy and any data processing agreement between us describe how we handle personal data.
You're responsible for having the rights to the data and credentials you connect, and for the actions your agents take within the permissions you grant.
#5. Our responsibilities
We'll provide the hosted service with reasonable skill and care, protect Customer Data with the measures described on our security page, and notify you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting your Customer Data.
We aim for high availability but, unless a signed agreement includes a service level agreement, the hosted service is provided without a guaranteed uptime.
#6. Fees
Paid plans are billed as described on the pricing page or in your order form. Fees are non-refundable except where the law or your agreement says otherwise. We may change prices for future renewal terms with at least 30 days' notice.
#7. Self-hosted software
If you run Gatehouse yourself, you may use it under the license or license key we provide, for your organization's internal use. You're responsible for operating it, including the servers, backups, the master key and updates.
#8. Confidentiality
Each of us will protect the other's confidential information with at least reasonable care, and use it only for this agreement.
#9. Intellectual property
We own Gatehouse, including the software, documentation and improvements. You own your Customer Data. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
#10. Warranties and disclaimers
Except as expressly stated in these terms, Gatehouse is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. AI agents can behave unpredictably; Gatehouse reduces the risk but doesn't eliminate it.
#11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue. Each party's total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. These limits don't apply to your payment obligations, or to either party's liability that can't be limited by law.
#12. Term and termination
These terms apply while you use Gatehouse. Either party may end them for a material breach that isn't fixed within 30 days of notice. When they end, you can export your data for 30 days; after that we delete it as described in the Privacy Policy.
#13. Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes, we'll notify account owners at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Gatehouse after that means you accept the new terms.
